Does Prune Scene remove referenced assets?

No. Referenced assets are detected and reported, but cleanup actions avoid modifying referenced scene data.

Can I preview what will be removed?

Yes. The cleanup summary lists every action before the script applies changes.

Recommended install

Click Install on this page.
Open maxpkg inside 3ds Max.
The script will be detected and installed automatically.

Manual install

Download the MZP package.
Drag the MZP file into the 3ds Max viewport.
Follow the installer prompts.

Compatibility

Tested with 3ds Max 2016 through 2025 on Windows 10 and Windows 11.
