About maxpkg
maxpkg is a marketplace and package registry for Autodesk 3ds Max tools distributed as MZP packages. The goal is simple: make scripts easier to discover, install, update, and trust.
Why it exists
3ds Max artists often install tools from forum posts, cloud folders, old websites, and zip archives. Some scripts are excellent, but finding the latest version or understanding how to install it can still be a small adventure.
maxpkg gives those tools one clear place: a package page with screenshots, versions, changelog, reviews, compatibility, and a predictable install flow.
For artists
Artists can browse packages, read what a tool does, check which 3ds Max versions are supported, and install with a drag-and-drop installer. The MaxPkg Manager runtime also lets artists search, install, and manage packages directly inside 3ds Max.
For developers
Developers can publish packages, upload versions, add screenshots, write changelogs, and reply to reviews. The publishing flow is designed around MZP files so existing MaxScript workflows stay familiar.

maxpkg is built and maintained by 3DGROUND. It is developed with a practical production mindset: fewer steps, clearer package pages, and safer distribution for tools that artists actually use.
